Attention Patients
Procedure for Check in and Patient Flow during COVID-19 Pandemic
We understand that the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic can be scary. And there is misinformation spreading about the virus and how to provide care.
For information and resources on the virus, please visit UpToDate.com for the latest. Please refer to the PA COVID-19 Symptom & Testing Information website for information about symptoms and how to get tested.
AS OF 4/20/20: Governor Wolf has required that all individuals be required to wear a protective face mask or covering when entering a public building. This applies to our office as well. We kindly ask you to not enter the office if you do not have a protective mask or face covering. For more details on mask guidance in PA and for DIY-mask tutorials, please visit the Commonwealth of PA’s website: https://www.pa.gov/guides/responding-to-covid-19/
Dr. Kuhar and the entire staff at Kuhar Medical want to be your trusted partner throughout this evolving public health crisis. We are working closely with our local healthcare systems, following strict protocols from the CDC and the Department of Health.
We are dedicated to protecting all of our patients. In order to do this, we ask that all patients familiarize yourself with the following:
- If you are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, please call our office at 215.258.3810, and talk to our Staff. We have a Provider on-call after hours, as well, for emergent consultation.**
- Our Providers can screen and consult with patients over the phone before they come in for care. We will guide you on the recommended next steps based on our conversation.
- If you have the Patient Portal, you can also contact your Provider and discuss the best course of action for you.
- We have created a private entrance and dedicated exam room for sick patients to be seen and evaluated. This will help minimize exposure to our healthy patients. Please follow the instructions of our Staff to help protect all people.
- A dedicated Telehealth system will be available in the next few days to all patients, as well. Stay tuned for continued updates.
We are here for you. Please do not hesitate to call our office at 215.258.3810 or send a message via the Patient Portal if you have any questions or concerns.
**If you are experiencing extreme respiratory distress, please call your local Emergency Room prior to arriving and follow their guidance on protocol.
